Ian is another of our sponsored athlete involved in the beach volleyball scene. We have found him to be a great guy, and truly dedicated to his volleyball. To say that Ian eats, sleeps and breaths beach volleyball merely scratches the surface of his deep love and passion for the sport and the associated lifestyle. Ian has sacrificed a lot already in his life, in pursuit of his ambition of becoming an elite member in the top echelon of the sport of beach volleyball. It is his hard fought success thus far and his burning desire, that made Muscle Genesis take Ian on board as a sponsored athlete. Ian has already reaped benefits from the knowledge we have provided him and we hope that this synergistic collaboration helps propel Ian towards his dream.

You mentioned that you are already benefiting from your association with Muscle Genesis. How so?

Besides the clothing that you guys have provided, the nutritional advice has been excellent. Your in-depth knowledge in sports nutrition in general and also about all the different brands available on the market has definitely lead me in the right direction. I have tried many different brands as well has different approaches to help maximise my recover, without too much success. After discussing several key recovery issues and determining which product would be best suited for my needs, I began to feel and see improvements in my performance. Career Highlights:

- Started playing Beach Volleyball in 2000

- Awarded Beach Volleyball Victoria ‘Rookie of the Year’ (2001)

- Finished 16th in the Australian Junior Championships under 23 (2002)

- Finished 9th best team in Victoria with Jens Michel (2002)

- Awarded Beach Volleyball Victoria ‘Best Defender’ (2003)

- Selected for the Victorian High performance Training Squad in 2004

- Played in the main draw of my first World Challenger Event in Croatia (2004)

Training regime:

- Train 5 days a week, accumulating approximately 15 hours of training
- 3 hours of gym work
- 2 hours of game play
- 10 hours of skill/aerobic training

Finally what are you long term goals with regards to beach volleyball?

Well basically my long term goal is to achieve the highest level I can over the next 20 years through hard work, dedication, and discipline. I know that is may sound cliché, but that is what it truly takes to become amongst the best.
